Moon Over Cabo San Lucas

This photo really doesn't convey the mood of the moment. Maybe I can put it adequately on canvas.  The night was warm, wind stirred the palms, and the waves below crashed.  However, this is a shot of the pool, which was serenely blue.
The most striking element was the clarity and sharpness of the dancing, reflected moonlight, while the moon itself was slightly veiled by thin clouds.

Moonlight

Everyone keeps stealing my beach scenes, so I'm starting one for me.

I hang these at the front of my classroom beside a photograph that has "Dream" worked into the seascape.  I keep painting beaches, moons, night...and people keep stealing them.  So I'll sneak this one in and hang it.
You can see the tape at the horizon where I'm trying not to have a vague and shaky line.

Jamaica Moon

Last year, we spent Spring Break in Jamaica. One morning, we rose early to photograph the sunrise. But I wanted to paint it as a moonrise. Using the photos below, I did a composite.
